How To Write The Perfect Blog Post Every Time

Welcome to the Krannaken blog. For those of you who are new here, I write a blog on music marketing. However, you should find this useful whether or not you are a musician. Today, I am sharing some thoughts with you on how to write the perfect blog post. This subject in itself is not only good for music bloggers. It is good for all bloggers. However, I will just be writing this from a musical perspective.

If you read last week’s post, you will now have some good ideas on what you can write about. I have been writing this blog for several months now so I have a good background. Since I started this blog, I have developed as a writer and I have been able to convey my thoughts clearly to my readers.

Therefore, let us begin looking at the structure of the blog post and how you can write the best blog post possible.

How to Write the Perfect Blog Post Starting With the Headline

Finding the subject to write about is only half the battle. You now have to optimize your headline. If you can do this well, you will have more visitors to your blog. If you can attract more people, you have more chance to impress those people.

I strongly urge you to visit this site and find the right headline for your blog post. I always use this tool now and I get great results from it. It is completely 100% free of charge and you can find the best headlines for your blog by using it.

Writing Your Introductory Paragraph

It is important that you start this with a welcome message like the one I open this post with. Another important factor is that you also use your key phrase in your introductory paragraph. Your key phrase should be the main pulling force of the headline.

How to Pull in More Pinterest Traffic By Adding Pinnable Images

When I first started this blog I only used one pinnable image. I now use two and I always position the first one after the first one or two paragraphs. This is sharable on Pinterest. It is the right size and is another aspect of your blog post that can be great for generating traffic.

It is important that you add both your key phrase and also a caption to your pinnable image. You add the key phrase in the alt tags section. The caption is to be added into the caption box and should be an invitation to share the image on Pinterest. For instance, mine reads something to the effect of “Please pin this to Pinterest. Thank you.@ That is all you need.

If you need to find a site where you can create a pin, you can either use Canva or Relay That. I have a lifetime subscription to Relay That so I am happy to use that. However, Canva is free and it is what most people use.

How to Write the Perfect Blog Post Continuing With the Body

The body of your blog post should be easy to read, understand and digest. It should also include all the keywords and phrases that you possibly can.

Quite often, I will go through the body not knowing what I am going to write, but just writing what comes into my head and rolling with it. When I have written a fair amount, I can see how far it has come and how I can proceed. Most of the time, ideas come into my head as I write.

I always use Yoast for my SEO. This is a great plugin, but it can make your post sound too academic. A great approach is to write how you speak. If something is not as you would say it, don’t say it.

How to Add Other Elements Into Your Blog Post

After three paragraphs of text, I add something else in. This can be a pinnable image, an affiliate advert, a SoundCloud track, a Woocommerce product, a list of recent posts, and the list goes on…

We have already discussed pinnable images. Therefore, let us go on and talk about the other elements in the list above and I will give you some examples.

How to Write the Perfect Blog Post Including Affiliate Adverts

The adverts above for the producer courses and also for the 1 GB of loops and samples are both affiliate adverts. Therefore, if you click on them and make a purchase, I get a commission. This enables me to keep the blog active and going strong.

On my music blog, I tend to stick to Loopmasters, LoopCloud and PluginBoutique. These are sites where I buy my digital music gear. As I have great experiences with them, I know that they are right for my blog. Furthermore, they are all owned by the same company and all fall under the same umbrella. Therefore, I am supporting one company with my affiliate links. This enables me to focus on supporting them.

Adding a SoundCloud Track to Your Blog Post

Whether or not you add a SoundCloud track depends entirely on the kind of blog you are writing. If you are either a musician, a writer or a public figure, you can record something that you host on your SoundCloud account. Your audio can then be added to your blog post.

I use this feature a fair bit. As Krannaken, we are always sharing our music. The idea of blogging is to gain exposure to our music. Therefore, I am happy to share my music with you. Here is an example of a SoundCloud track that we can use on our blog…

How to Write the Perfect Blog Post Complete With WooCommerce Products

If you sell either physical or digital products, you can add them to your blog with WooCommerce. My favorite products to sell are digital. This is because they can provide passive income. This is because all you need to do is add them to your website and you can forget about them – just collecting the 100% commissions at the end of the month.

If you want to sell band merchandise, WooCommerce will also be great for that. We are very soon to have our own Krannaken merchandise. This merchandise looks great and it advertises the band’s music. It is basically advertising that pays us.

How to Write the Perfect Blog Post With a List of Recent Posts

If you can add a list of your recent posts to your blog, you can keep readers engaged for a longer period of time. This, again, goes back to the importance of having great headlines for your posts. If you can write headlines that capture interest, you can also attract people to click your links and read your posts.

This, not only means that people will read your posts. You have more opportunities to capture their interest in everything else in your post. They may love your music if you add a SoundCloud or a Spotify link. It is also possible that they could buy something and support you financially.

How to Write the Perfect Blog Post With the Right Ending

Every blog post needs to finish with a call to action. This is often just abbreviated to CTA. What this is is a request by you to carry out an action. This can be to join your mailing list, to leave a comment, or to check out another blog post. Therefore, you are maintaining engagement and building your relationship with them.
