Thunder Storm Out Today

Thunder Storm, the new Krannaken track is out today. How was it made and what is our goal with it? In this post, we will let you hear the new track, watch our excellent music video, explain how we made the music, the video and the merch.

Just above, you can hear the single that is on Spotify. However, you can also purchase this track as well as three other tracks on CD for £3.99. This is my work in the fourth track on the CD as well as Everhald’s three remixes.

Get it on Vinyl

There is also a picture disc available that you can get here for £49.99. This is a collector’s item and something you will be proud to own. The disc has an impressive design and you will also love the music.

Other Merch

There are also a few tee-shirts available that you can purchase. These start at £19.99. However, the most impressive one that I personally like best is in the image below, but you can get it right here.

How was Thunder Storm Made?

The original mockup for Thunder Storm was made by David. This included a piano that is similar to that of Ludovico Einaudi. However, it is over an electronic music bed with percussion and bass that you can clearly hear throughout the track.

The track includes a drop half way through. However, the initial acid line plays through the drop. The piano part could be likened to Children by Robert Miles.

From that initial track, Everhald received the midi files and was able to create three further works which, I have to admit, are better than my initial version.

A lot of the effects that you hear on Everhald’s own work are his own recordings. Apart from that, I use FL Studio. Everhald uses Cubase, but we can still work together. Apparently, according to Everhald, Cubase is now able to import FL Studio files.

How was the Video Made for Thunder Storm?

I created the video above with the first version that I received back from Everhald. The video was created in Canva and edited in Camtasia. All of the stock footage was sourced within Canva and the special effects were created on Camtasia.

In the build up to the release, I released daily videos on YouTube which were smaller parts of the main track. It was fonr likr s jihdse eiyh stounf 10 seconds in each video and they fit together to make the entire track. However, the main video was released this morning, Friday 8th November 2024.

How Can You Get the Whole EP?

The first version that Everhald sent back to me is available on Spotify and many other streaming and retail sites. However, if you want to purchase the entire EP, you can get it on CD or on vinyl. These tracks include everything that has been created in the way of audio work for Thunder Storm.

The only difference is that the thunder sound at the end of the video is not apparent on the actual track. That gives you more reason to watch the video. You can get that in the video above. Please feel free to scomment, like and subscribe. When you subscribe, please hit the bell. You will then be notified whenever there is a new video published to the YouTube channel.

Again, here is another opportunity to watch the video…
